    FAQ’s About Reservations

    1. Reservation requirements
    After confirming the availability of spaces for your adventure, you must make a payment equivalent to 25% of the total value of your tour; this will guarantee your reservation.

    2. Requirements to secure your trip
    30 days prior to the date of your scheduled tour, you must pay 100% (remaining 75%) of the total value of the trip to finish setting up all the logistics involved in your adventure.
    In case of negotiations and special promotions, an agreement could be reached to pay a percentage when you arrive in Peru, moments before starting your vacation with us, but these are exceptional situations. We want you to understand that there is a chain of services associated to your trip, which implies compromising and giving work options to many people.

    3. Bank Transaction Fees
    All prices you see on our website include transfer taxes via paypal.
    We will only apply taxes in exceptional situations, when you request some additional or extraordinary service, or use some other method of payment that is not contemplated within our budget; in these cases you will always be notified, we want to be as transparent as possible.

    4. If you change your booking
    If, after our booking confirmation has been issued, you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way, for example, your chosen departure date, we will make every effort to make these changes, but it may not always be possible. Any requests for changes must be made in writing from the principal name or your travel agent. You will be required to pay a $50.00 administrative fee and any additional costs we incur in making this alteration (including those charged by outside vendors who provide the components of your reservation). You should be aware that these costs may increase the closer to the departure date the changes are made and you should contact us as soon as possible.
    However, exclusively for reasons of force majeure (pandemic, natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.) you or we are forced to change your reservation, this will not have any administrative cost of change; but please note that there are non-refundable expenses such as museum or park admission tickets, lodging, train, etc. We will always do our best to minimize the impact of your change, we need you to feel at ease and be able to trust us.

    5. If you cancel your reservation
    The following box details the associated charges if you cancel your reservation.

    (We charge these fees because there are a lot of expenses that Made In Mountain pays to set up this tour. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions. If you have last minute problems we will gladly send a letter to your insurance company to help you recover part of the cost).
    More than 82 days No cancellation fee.

    If you cancel your vacation 82 days or more in advance, we will not apply any cancellation fee, but it is important to take into consideration the following two points:

    1. The deposit (25% for the reservation) can be transferred to a new reservation made within 12 months of the date the original reservation was cancelled. Any remaining balance will be refunded if your new reservation has a lower price, as well as an increase if your new reservation has a higher cost.
    2. This excludes all non-refundable costs (e.g. national park entrance fees, hotel reservations, museum admission ticket reservations, etc.).
    Between 81 and 30 days (inclusive)
    1. No cancellation fee if it is due to force majeure (pandemic, natural disasters, government restrictions, etc).
    2. If there is no reason from the previous point (point 1) the cancellation fees are equal to the amount of your reservation deposit (25%).
    Between 31 and 15 days (inclusive) 40% of the vacation cost (*)

    (*)No cancellation fee exclusively if it is due to force majeure (pandemic, natural disasters, government restrictions, etc). A rescheduling or refund of the total cost of your trip may be made, excluding the payment of taxes and service reservations that are beyond our control.

    Entre 14 y 08 días (inclusive) 60% del costo de vacaciones (*)

    (*)No cancellation fee exclusively if it is due to force majeure (pandemic, natural disasters, government restrictions, etc). A rescheduling or refund of the total cost of your trip may be made, excluding the payment of taxes and service reservations that are beyond our control.

    07 days or less (or do not join vacation) (inclusive) 100% of the vacation cost (*)

    (*)No cancellation fee exclusively if it is due to force majeure (pandemic, natural disasters, government restrictions, etc). A rescheduling or refund of the total cost of your trip may be made, excluding the payment of taxes and service reservations that are beyond our control.

     

    6. If you transfer your reservation
    You may transfer your reservation to another person, who complies with all the conditions that apply to this reservation, by notifying us in writing at least 7 days prior to departure, provided that the new principal traveler accepts the transfer and these booking conditions. Both you and the new traveler are responsible for paying all costs incurred by us in making the transfer (including the $50.00 administrative fee). Please note that certain transportation or lodging providers treat changes as a cancellation and charge up to 100% of the cost of that portion of the agreement accordingly. Where applicable, these charges will be passed on to you.

    7. If we cancel your reservationWe reserve the right to cancel your reservation. We will not cancel less than 4 weeks before your departure date, except for:
